A conventional headgate or squeeze chute is not always practical when working Longhorn cattle; therefore, we built a Medina Hinge in our working pens to vaccinate and doctor cattle. At Granger Cattle Co., all of our cattle are vaccinated with Virashield 5 + VL5 (IBR, BVD, PI3, BRSV, 5 strains Lepto and Vibrio fetus) and a 7-way to protect against Clostridium diseases (blackleg). All of our heifers also receive an Official Childhood Vaccination before 12 months of age.
